What changed since 1.0.5
| Area | Change |
|---|---|
| Start-up speed | The engine relies on the x18 register guarantee macOS already gives instead of protecting it on every transition. In our A/B test of this change, Hollow Knight reached its main menu in 23.2 s instead of 31.1 s on an M1 Pro (one game, one machine). |
| Division errors | DIV/IDIV overflow and divide-by-zero raise the same exception with the same register state as the Windows-on-ARM reference: 88 of 88 cases match. |
| CPU flags in exception handlers | The x86 flags that were live before an exception are restored for the handler. Measured cost over 500,000 exceptions: none. |
| Translator | HyperBridge patch series 15 → 26: safe exits for jumps to address zero, thread-scoped memory-ordering handling on macOS, executable-range fixes. |
| Hedon Bloodrite | New graphics profile; the game now presents frames. Menu and gameplay are not visually verified. |
Known limits
32-bit Windows programs do not start yet. Code executed through a second mapping of the same memory (used by .NET 7+ with W^X) still fails; the fix is scheduled for 1.0.7. Floating-point exception flags and the NaN sign in some SSE operations differ from Windows. Gameplay and FPS were not re-verified for this build beyond Hollow Knight reaching its main menu.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is not part of this build — it has a separate experimental preview.

Results are tied to the runtime and settings used for each check.
